« back to classes page
Preferred registration deadline: January 31st

3 CEUs/CPH units

Learn how to utilize Microsoft Excel for organizing, analyzing, and reporting program data - beyond simple formulas and charts. The workshop is designed for people familiar with the most basic functions of Excel but inexperienced with its advanced features. We will discuss when Excel is appropriate as a data management and reporting tool, best practices for use, and how to take full advantage of features, such as data validation, conditional formatting, VLookup, pivot tables, and graphics.

The workshop will begin with a brief overview of Excel basics and end with a quick demonstration of more advanced functions, such as macros and dashboard reports, and will provide resources for further learning.
This is a hands-on workshop, using laptops equipped with Excel 2016.  This self-assessment can help you determine whether this class will be helpful to you.

General Admission: $60**
Class size is limited to 28.
**Discounts on workshop admission are offered to the Brown School’s students, alumni, and field instructors. We also offer a discount to full-time graduate students in other programs and to our Washington University faculty/staff colleagues. No other discounts are available.
