Solicitation skills are important to an organization’s success. If you are new to resource development or have never been formally trained, this class will provide a strategic framework to consider how to create your value proposition and tailor your approach.
In five days, you will learn basic skills in developing and implementing a strategic fundraising program, including setting goals, choosing fundraising techniques, interfacing with staff and volunteers, data management, and evaluating results. Using a case statement as a foundation and creating a plan with supporting materials, participants will grow their confidence in “making the ask” by understanding basic principles of human nature and solicitation.
The course will consist of daily live Zoom class meetings from 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. (Central Time), and additional course material in Canvas.
Class size is limited to 25.
