Managing Up and Sideways: Leading Through Influence

« back to classes page
Preferred registration deadline: March 20th

3 CEUs/CPH units

For most social service professionals, their effectiveness is dependent not only on their own work and the work of people they supervise, but also on their ability to share information with and inspire action by others.

This workshop will encourage participants to know their own strengths and work to build on them.  The discussion will help you consider your strategic work relationships and suggest techniques you can leverage to improve them, including expanding your understanding of the roles and perspectives of others.  Finally, we will discuss variations in work and learning styles and how you can adapt to build more effective partnerships throughout your organization.

General Admission: $60**

Class size is limited to 45.

**Discounts on workshop admission are offered to the Brown School’s students, alumni, and field instructors. We also offer a discount to full-time graduate students in other programs and to our Washington University faculty/staff colleagues. No other discounts are available. Admission discounts apply automatically in your cart, based on your profile in our registration software.
